About the role
D2I Financial Services AB is a fintech company that develops and provides payment services to businesses. The company has submitted an application to the Financial Supervisory Authority for permission to conduct payment service operations under supervision and is currently in a regulatory establishment phase.
We are now looking for a Compliance Officer / Lawyer who will take overall responsibility for compliance and legal support within the company on a part-time basis. The role is central and involves close collaboration with the CEO, board, and external advisors. All focus in the role is on D2I Financial Services AB. To a limited extent, the role may also include legal responsibility and contact with authorities related to the company's interest companies, primarily in data protection and privacy issues.
Responsibilities
In the role, you will be responsible for:
ensuring the company's ongoing compliance work according to applicable regulations (including PSD2, FFFS, AML/CFT, as well as internal governance and control)
ensuring that internal policies, instructions, and governing documents are updated, implemented, and adhered to
acting as a point of contact with the Financial Supervisory Authority, including handling questions, supplements, and dialogue related to the licensing process and supervision
coordinating and following up the work with external compliance partners
providing legal support to the CEO and board on regulatory and corporate law issues
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- law degree
- experience in compliance and/or legal work within financial operations or other regulated environments
- good understanding of the Financial Supervisory Authority's regulations and supervisory processes
- ability to work independently, structured, and with high accuracy
Meritorious
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience from banking, fintech, payments, information services, debt collection, or lending
- experience in data protection/GDPR and dialogue with the Data Protection Authority
- previous work as a Compliance Officer, responsible lawyer, or similar
- experience in board work in regulated companies
